It’s funny how you can walk past a place a thousand times and never really appreciate its beauty until a warm spring day sort of strong arms you into being so optimistic and just seeing everything in a new light. But that’s the horribly great thing about spring weather. It thaws out even the bitterest (hi!) hearts and can put a smile on even the biggest proponent of RBF (Resting Bitch Face, for those of you unfamiliar with the fight-or-flight response of clamming up and sweating through our palms when faced with a happy emotion). After this long, and to throw some shade at Mother Nature, UNNECESSARY winter, I’m just so excited to wear loose boyfriend jeans (what boyfriend tho? ha ha ha ha *debates getting an OkStupid for the 40th time and justifying it in social situations by saying ‘I made it with a friend as a joke’ but really*) and heels without knowing that I’ll be sloshing my toes around in the gorgeous dirt-piss-cigarette-butt miracle that is New York City snow a mere .05 seconds after it falls to the ground.
