Don’t you just love those days when the weather starts to bleed from “frigid, Russian winter” into the “slightly warmer” category? Even though it’s not much warmer, everyone’s itching to leave their heavy wool coats, gloves, and scarves at home in lieu of more transitional pieces. Sure, when the sun goes down everyone starts to shiver a little, but who cares right? We’re all just so sick of winter induced cabin fever that we’re willing to walk a leisurely 10 or 20 blocks slightly colder if it means being less bundled up.
These introductory days to spring always make such a difference in my mood. The air is warmer and I want to spend all day outside window shopping and bouncing around to different corners of the city.  Throw on a cool patterned sweatshirt with your favorite pair of single-girl-approved-boyfriend jeans and pointy toed ankle boots (extra points if they’re comfy enough to withstand a crosstown trek through Central Park Transverse, yet subtly avant garde enough to ~slightly~ intimidate and differentiate yourself from the tourists) for a fool proof formula for stylish yet comfortable weekend fun.

I’ve also been obsessed with this two toned Rovimoss cross body bag lately as it’s the absolute perfect size for my chic weekend romps (activities including but not limited to: running into a subway car juuuuuuust as the doors close, buying three hot dogs from Gray’s Papaya and shamelessly eating them in one sitting by the street facing windows because you don’t respect yourself, and following along to a new spinning YouTube tutorial on a stationary parked CitiBike). I love how the contrasting tones give the bag an edgy little dual personality and the two compartments are perfect for separating money (ha jk!), phone, and Metro Card from the haphazard pile of loose cough drops and napkins one is wont to organically accumulate over the course of winter.
